UPDATE: Finally got so fed up I deleted the app. I enjoy the Puzzle Quest games and this one is just as fun and addicting as the others, but there are a lot of problems with this one. The first is the terrible menus and navigation throughout the game. Its easy to miss daily rewards and things of that nature. The second are the constant crashes and freezes. I keep losing matches I should win when the game freezes up for unknown reasons. This constantly happens in PVP matches, which means I burn through heal potions for for no payoff. The third problem with the game is the issue of bad drops/cascades/hands. There ought to be skill involved in this, but there are so many points of randomness in the game most aspects of skill are overwhelmed by randomness and bad luck (including multiple games where Ive been fed only supports and spells for 6 rounds before I could draw a creature, at which point I promptly lost). Some randomness is fun, but when its to the point where you dont even have a chance 25% of the time, thats just frustrating. Honestly, there are lots of fun things about the game, but those three huge flaws make me question whether Ill be playing much longer.

Cant even after buying materials. So to win you need to buy more and more WAY overpriced materials. It appears the Sept update for bugs. Includes revoking all of my characters and asking for more money. If I could get a refund I would like that best.

New twist to the PQ world.

I love how it combines the Match 3 with the game of Magic! Really fun!

This game isnt that hard but its pretty fun to pass the time. I have been playing it for a couple hours now and I really enjoy it. The only thing I dont like about free games is that they always have in game plans for people paying money.

Ive been playing this game for a couple of weeks and Ive been really enjoying it. I have not experienced any glitches (played on iPhone 6S and iPhone 7). ***putting this up here so that hopefully the developers can see it better: after upgrading from 6S to 7, all of my progress and cards I accumulated are gone... I had an amazing Jace deck and Im kinda bummed that it is all gone. That said, the game is good enough for me to start over. Idk if the Facebook connect prevents this issue but I dont use Facebook, so a diff way to save progress would be nice.*** The game is very addicting. Once you figure out the game, youll find out that there is quite a bit of strategy, even considering the randomness of the draw and the randomness of obtaining the amount of mana youd like. I play MtG with my friends, and if you play too you will know that sometimes you dont draw the right cards. So this is not a limitation of the game but of MtG in general. I honestly think this variation of the game is kinda brilliant. The free boosters are great, the fact that you can get each basic planeswalker for a low cost is fantastic, and the game is not stingy with giving away crystals. People who complain about the costs must have never played MtG in real life. That stuff with bankrupt you haha. I gotta agree, though, while the interface is not terrible, it *is* pretty clunky. Feels rough around the edges. This is whats keeping it from me giving the game 5 stars. Thank you, developers, for a fun and engaging experience.

The early battles are easy because the game drops lots of cascades in your favor. Eventually it starts doing the opposite. The enemies get mega cascades that drop enough mana to empty their hand in one turn. PvP events are broke and unbalanced, often placing low level players against max level players. I cant ever win. Level 15 vs. level 60 is nearly impossible when they have maxed out planeswalker powers.

I dont understand why this games in app purchases are so expensive. Its a digital card game and I cant do anything with the cards other than play matches that either take way too long or are over in 5 turns. The other week they sold a small amount of stuff for $70. Thats more than an entire RL video game costs when its brand new. Come on people, this is crazy...everything should be at least 5x cheaper...

Love the idea, like the cards and the storylines. That being said, the navigation is terrible. Knowing when/where free packs and daily check ins are is just non-existent. Converted mana costs for cards are way out of proportion to usefulness/power. The physical cost of packs is far more than a pack down at the local card shop. Cmon, its a digital collection, give us a break.

The game is good but you hit a paywall pretty early on. Not to mention the pvp is not balanced at all

This is one fun and addicting game at first, but eventually the cheap tactics used by the computer to "make it difficult" will make you want to smash your device when you are dominating your opponent and then it cascades a million mana points and just wins by "pure luck".

This game crashes and erases your items. Apple should withhold all payments until the developer fixes it. If this is the type of scam Apple allows I wont be paying for anything in the future.

As a long time Magic player AND Puzzle Quest gamer this game was a massive disappointment. Its just a cash in on the recent MtG resurgence. Its a total dumb-down of the original Puzzle Quest formula and not what Im looking for as a gamer.

Very fun game. Great mash up of magic cards and a matching game.

I really like it, but its so laggy and slow. It keeps crashing and its hard to navigate. I hope this app improves.

Awesome game, fun to play for hours.

Being an MtG player this game is very cool and well thought of. Story mode is fantastic and feels fun even if its a match 3 game.

Great game but the cheap and lazy difficulty programming ("difficult" opponents just get more "lucky"/mana from cascades, thus playing 2+ cards every turn) makes it difficult to enjoy at higher levels, unless you spend money on better cards. Not worthy since the prices are ridiculous for digital cards.
