Something unbalanced update

So after the last update I went to give it another try and all my progress was gone. And I had to start over. Reduced to one star.

I want to like this game but I hate in-app purchases so Im getting bored quickly as Im at the point if have to just farm points or pay up. Also it seems that the opponent gets a heck of a lot more multi combos that the player. I mean I was in chapter 1 and the opponent had 12 combos in a row at one point. Where I could do no better than 2.
